Emission of pollutant gases from various chemical Industries

The flue gases emission from the boiler of any industry must be known clearly because these not only affect the production rate of any industry but also our environment and surrounding. Our work includes a comparison between the emissions from the boiler of five different industries. These five boilers are using Natural Gas, Coal and Heavy oil as a fuel. Emissions from these five boilers are majorly O2, CO2, CO, SO2, NOx, H2, NO and Excess Air. From these given eight parameters O2, CO2, SO2, and Excess Air were higher values while CO, NO, NOx and H2 are negligible. The main objective of this study is to investigate the actual volume of these emissions from the boiler and to show a comparison between them. We analyzed the composition of flue gases by using IMR-2800P analyzer and it gave the readings of these parameters and it also tells about the efficiency and losses of the boiler The comparison studies show that the higher value which is being emitted from these five boilers is excess air, secondly, it is CO2 which greatly affects the atmosphere and then its O2. Although CO, SO2 NOx, NO are emitted in a smaller quantity but cause great dangers to the environment. The comparison also shows that the boiler which is operating on heavy oil is emitting higher concentrations of the flue gas parameters (O2, CO2, CO, SO2, NOx, H2, NO and Excess Air). It reveals that the emission composition depends upon the type of fuel used as well because the results show that the boilers operating on Natural gas are emitting less PPMV of the flue gases.
