My experience comprises association with Lucky Cement Limited. Throughout my work experience, I got an opportunity to be involved in Preparing & presenting Financial Statements as per applicable IAS & IFRS. Toyota Indus Motor Company Limited was my previous employer where I was engaged in preparing & presenting Financial statements, Treasury (trade & remittance) and assisting Company Secretary. I was a part of the Core finance team for the listing process at Pakistan Stock Exchange during my tenure with Dalda Foods Limited.
-Preparation of standalone and consolidated financial statements in accordance with the requirements of IFRS and management reporting packs;
-Preparation of the companies book of accounts;
-Responsible for eliminating intra-company transactions between all the operating companies;
-Preparation and presentation of customized financial reports as and when required by the senior management;
-Performing variance analysis with proper justification and reasoning;
-Prepare and present monthly projections to the senior management;
-Review of bank reconciliations and bank related GL adjustments;
-Review of receivable & payables modules to identify any unrecorded revenue invoice & vendor invoice to ensure posting of the same in the GL to ensure cut off and accuracy;
-Review of all the journal entries posted close to the month end to ensure accuracy and completeness of the GL;
-Review of general vouchers and receipts before posting in the financial accounting system;
-Ensure accounting software’s are updated with the changes in the accounting standards or any other structural changes in the group;
-Managing treasury, administration, payroll and taxation of other group companies; and
-Responsible for liaising with the auditors, attending pre / exit audit meetings, resolve the audit points and implement the agreed audit recommendations.
-Preparation & presentation of monthly, quarterly & half year financial results;
-Finalization of annual statutory accounts; and
-Evaluation of general ledger.
-Ensure Company’s funding requirements are met and maximize long term returns on excess liquidity by planning short, medium and long term cash requirements;
-Co-ordinate and ensure documentation are in place to transit with Banks (facilities like: letter of credit (LC), Bank Guarantees, management approval note & commercial correspondence);
-Manage foreign remittance cases and in direct coordination with State bank of Pakistan (SBP) for approval;
-Implement new bank technologies, products and services to improve cash cycle and to bring simplicity in operations;
-Supervise over all bank reconciliation process; and
-Responsible for corporate and external audit for all treasury areas.
-Managing all Board and Committee meetings coordinating, preparing and distributing -Board/committee working papers for Board of Directors and committees;
-Maintaining statutory book including registers of members, directors;
-Ensure compliance with legal requirements of companies act and COCG;
-Managing secretarial work ensuring timely filings;
-Ensure timely payments of dividend cycles; and
-Correspondence with share registrar, SECP, Central Depository Company (CDC) and shareholders.
-Preparation & presentation of monthly, quarterly & half year financial results;

-Maintaining fixed assets capitalization, disposal monthly ledgers;
-Journalizing of monthly purchases & evaluation of general ledger;

-Risk Management including testing of design effectiveness, risk identification, risk assessment and other testing of risk management cycle as a whole;
-Ensuring compliance with internal procedures, manuals and reliability of internal/external reporting;
-Developing product and process standards, laws and regulations ensuring the compliance.
