Chemical Engineering attracts me because of the challenges involved in the application of scientific theory to practical, real world obstacles. I choose Chemical Engineering because I was amazed by the role of Chemical Engineers played in helping mankind lead a better life. I, Bilal Waseem, a Chemical Engineer with 15 months work experience, comprises from 3 months at National Refinery Ltd. as a Senior Management Trainee to 12 months at Pak Oasis Industries (Pvt.) Ltd. as a Trainee Process Engineer. I am currently looking for a good job where I can learn more about Chemical Engineering and that will further enhance my abilities and provide long term stability. I also acquired a month Internship experience at the Cathodic Protection department of renowned Sui Southern Gas Company Ltd. Besides my working experience, co-curricular activities during my undergraduate studies enables me to develop personally and professionally and gives me the ability to interact with others respectfully and develop productive working relationship to minimize conflict and maximize rapport.

Trainee Process Engineer
Studied, analyzed and observed all the processes of Water and Wastewater treatment including Ultra Filtration, Reverse Osmosis and notable projects of Greater Karachi Sewerage Plan of S-III by Karachi Water and Sewerage Board:
Sewerage Treatment Plant III (STP III) Mauripur, Karachi.
Sewerage Treatment Plant I (STP I) Haroonabad, Karachi.
These plants have the capacities of 180 MGD and 100 MGD respectively to process sewage water, which removes contaminants from wastewater, including household sewage and runoff(effluents) with preliminary, Primary and Secondary(Biological) wastewater treatments of Trickling Filters
Gained experience in the operation and maintenance of Ultra Filtration (UF) and Reverse Osmosis (RO).
Observed and monitored all the plant parameters.
Analyzed sample of streams, raw and treated wastewater, sludge, and other byproducts of wastewater treatment process to determine efficiency of plant processes and to ensure that plant effluent meets water pollution control requirements.
Conduct tests for settleable solids, suspended solids, total solids, volatile solids, volatile acids, alkalinity, pH, turbidity, BOD, COD and other substances, using standard laboratory equipment.
Senior Management Trainee
Worked under supervision of Senior Chemical Engineers at Naphtha Block involving Naphtha Splitter, Naphtha Stripper and Isomerization (PANEX) units.
Following areas covered during Field training:
Equipment tag name and line tracing.
Development of PFD\'s and Detail Process line up (P&ID\'s) including Battery limit with control valves and P&ID\'s of all Utilities including color coding.
System Sampling Procedures.
Process Operating Parameters and Equipment capacities.
