A result-oriented professional with international experience in both for-profit and nonprofit organizations, interested to work in a well reputed organization that has a transformative agenda of helping marginalized communities/groups through humanitarian assistance, community engagement and social inclusion initiatives.
I worked with the consulting services that focused on international development primarily focusing on grassroots level development, civil society and climate change for the marginalized communities in Pakistan. I was involved in researching grants/funding opportunities, writing concept notes and developing grant proposals to ensure a sustainable pipeline of financing.
Currently I work on a project titled Digital Borders, Bodies, and Mobility in South Asia under the supervision of Dr. Sanaa Alimia who teaches at Aga Khan University. My responsibilities include email tracking, data collection, data management, note taking, literature review, preparing briefings, attending meetings, report writing and proofreading.
My responsibilities included reviewing literature, writing reports, and preparing communication materials for conferences and lectures. Under the supervision of Dr. Elmira Kochumkulova I also delivered a public lecture at UCA Bishkek, on the governance structure of Hunza state. I worked on a project that aimed to produce a comparative study of the socio-cultural developments of indigenous communities living in Tajikistan and Pakistan.
As part of the Aga Khan University’s Virtual Internship Program (VIP) I worked online as a team member on the project titled Accelerating Indigenous and Community Driven Clean Energy Microgrid Projects Globally. My responsibilities included email tracking of survey outreach, survey responses, data collection, communications, interviews, note taking, literature review, weekly presentation and paper writing. The aim of the project was to develop a publication that provides an overview of microgrid projects in indigenous, islanded, and coastal communities so that other indigenous communities could develop projects learning from their best practices.
As a part of my undergraduate, I worked for 45 days with the Monitoring, Evaluation and Research section on the Enhanced Employability and Leadership for Youth project (funded by the government of Canada). It was a field based internship where I was involved in reviewing reports/documents, editing, field visits, researching, conducting youth awareness sessions, writing case studies and managing a database of 2015 flood affected areas in district Chitral in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan.
