Mr. Mohammad Sajjad Moghal is an accomplished entrepreneur, renowned business strategist, and Private Sector Development (PSD) expert. He holds two graduate degrees, one in business management and the other in public policy and has attended Kennedy School at Harvard University, and the Federal Executive Institute, Virginia, USA. Mr. Moghal has won several International Awards in the USA and Japan.
Classic International Trading (CIT) is one of the many businesses he owns and runs. CIT is the fastest growing, and was set-up in 2016. The firm’s annual turnover reached Rs. 510 million, and USD19 million in indenting, in a short span of four years, CIT commands three most selling brands in Pakistan. Mr. Moghal set-up Prime Genetics, two years ago, the company is the largest cattle semen producer cum seller in Pakistan, and is the local partner of Alta Genetics Inc., USA. Mr. Moghal, is also the Director of Eccountant Pvt. Ltd. - the only homegrown ERP that offers an integrated e-commerce and local e-Payment platform.
Prior to that, Mr. Moghal has served as the Senior Adviser at USAID, and in the leadership position at Policy and Planning Division, Small & Medium Enterprise Development Authority, Government of Pakistan. Mr. Moghal started his career as a banker and moved on to FMCG while working for Unilevers, Pakistan.
One of Mr. Moghal's accomplishments include the US$27 million USAID -DRDF public private partnership, and the design and the implementation of a $250 million USAID Economic Growth portfolio. The portfolio covered business development, competitiveness improvement, market access, workforce development and economic policy reforms. Mr. Moghal also played a key role in designing US$300 million SME and Clean Energy financing programs for Development Credit Authority (DCA) USA, in partnership with Pakistani private banks. He is the author of Pakistan's national SME policy and the first implementation plan.
In four years, the annual turnover of the firm crossed USD5 million, and added another USD17 million commission-based business. The firm with a portfolio of 80 top notch clients, including DIC Ink, AkzoNobel, Kansai, Berger, ATS, Nippon to name a few, is the fastest growing in the segment. CIT represents 12 world renowned overseas manufacturers in Pakistan, and is the market leader in the sale of TiO2, Calcined Kaolin and Polyester Resins. CIT is modeled on result-oriented management, and thrives on practical use of ICT.
