Pakistan Education & Research Network is the only research and education network of Pakistan. The purpose of this national research and education network is to provide communication infrastructure to the universities, institutions of higher learning and research organizations to meet their networking and internet requirements. The network has evolved significantly and is providing valuable services, like high-speed internet, audio/video conferencing, and access to digital library resources.

Job Responsibilities:

Manage and monitor NPM Orion Solar winds, Cacti Graphing solution, Manage Huawei U2000 Unified Network Management System and Optix Navigator for DWDM, SDH, OLA, ADM, ONU and OFAN network

Conduct IPERF, ATP, QOS and MTU tests..

Providing support for Ipv4 and Ipv6 Internet, Intranet, VPNs, Video Conferencing, VOIP running services on PERN-2 network

• Maintain data communication network, solve the network problems, coordinate site Engineers and utilize the resources to full fill the customer’s requirement.

Monitor all fiber and power related activities, escalation of outages, troubleshoot and solve the product service problem

Grasp Core Network design, functionality, operation, create capacity planning standards and guidelines for network’s continued expansion

Handle onsite survey, installation, up gradation and commissioning of equipment.
