TO ANALYZE THE FACTORS INFLUENCING FISCAL DEFICIT IN PAKISTAN

The purpose of the study was to analyze the factors influencing fiscal deficit in Pakistan. The scope of the study was limited to financial institution regulating the financial matters in Pakistan. The strategy of research was mixed research approach. Both quantitative and qualitative strategies were explored in the study. The population of the study consisted of all the secondary data of Pakistan on economy; The stratified random sampling design was adopted. A tailor made questionnaire and interviews was designed. The reliability and validity of the instrument was ensured. The data was collected through interviews, email and personal visit. Two types of analytical techniques were used. First, quantitative which involved descriptive statistical procedures. Tables with percentage and graphical techniques were used for description of data. The second type of technique used was qualitative analysis of the facts was made and the results were described in the narrative. In the light of the finding of the study the following concrete recommendation were made. The FBR need to increase its tax collection and also improve its tax collection system, the SBP should be implement very tight monetary policy, the government of Pakistan need to reduce its expenditure and should not take more loan from IMF and other resources.
