Controlling Electric Apliances Using Android

<div><p>To design and to implement a cheap and open source system that is capable of controlling electric appliances through an easy android application. The proposed system has a great flexibility by using Wi-Fi technology to interconnect its distributed modules to server. That will decrease deployment cost and will increase the ability of upgrading. System will make use of secure wireless LAN connections between distributed hardware modules and server. We use on and off function for automation purpose by using Java and C language codes. To give Wi-Fi Connection (I P address) between the Applications in android phone to the Hardware board, we use Arduino with Ethernet shield. To show practical view of our Project, we made PCB board using relays and make a circuit to connect 5 bulbs of different colors each represent specific Electric Appliance. In this way we control appliances using Android phone wirelessly.</p> <p><strong>Tools and Software used:</strong></p> <p>Android Studio, Arduino with Ethernet Shield for Internet Connectivity, PCB relay board with switchingfor Hardware Implementation.
