FACTORS IMPACTING ON NON-PERFORMING LOANS - EVIDENCES FROM PAKISTANI COMMER

This article tends to highlight the issue of nonperforming loans (NPLs) from an open strategy point of view. The main attention is on three parts of non-performing loans that we consider fundamental for a legitimate examination: the level of the non-performing loans issues, the reasons for non-performing loans and the arrangements embraced to address a recognized non-performing loans issue. These analyses will investigations the various definitions and estimations of non-performing loans. Further, it presents the improvement amongst foundational and situational reasons for non-performing loans. This paper evaluates the impact of nonperforming loans on the lending potential and money related performances of banks. Secondary information that goes over a time of 5 years (2011-2016) is utilized. This information is sourced from the financial statements of five banks listed on Pakistan Stock Exchange. It is apparent that banks would need to support against the acknowledgment of bad debts to boost their money related performance, and to enhance access to credit offices to reliable borrowers.
