MSF introduction
MSF is one of the world's leading independent organisations for medical humanitarian aid, giving quality medical care to people caught in crisis regardless of race, religion, or political affiliation. Every day, more than 30,000 MSF field staff provide assistance around the world to people whose survival is threatened by violence, neglect, or catastrophe, primarily due to armed conflict, epidemics, malnutrition, exclusion from healthcare or natural disasters.
In 2015, MSF carried out over 8 million outpatient consultations and admittedover 594,000patients. MSF teams had 333,900 HIV/AIDS patients under care, vaccinated around 2 million people against measles and meningitis, and treated more than 2 million people for malaria. There were 219,300 births assisted including caesarean sections, 184,600 individual mental health consultations and 83,500 major surgical interventions.
Formed in 1971, by a group of doctors and journalists aiming to establish an independent organisation focused on emergency medical careand speaking out about the causes of human suffering, MSF's work is based on the humanitarian principles of medical ethics and remains committed to bearing witness and speaking out.
MSF has 21 main national offices and 10 specialised organisations, which take charge of specific activities, such as humanitarian relief supplies. MSF has 446 projects in over 60.
RESPONSABILITIES OF DOCTOR#
Being a medical doctor with MSF can be a challenging role, and the needs are very diverse depending upon the project you work in. Medical doctors are based in the project, and will often care for people affected by some or all of the following

Injuries sustained in a conflict zone

Cardiology ward SGTH in collaboration with Pakistan emergency medical physicians (PEMA), have arranged in swat medical college , 4 days 100 emergency procedure workshop for the doctors who are the first line of physicians handling emergencies in ER ,

It is an extensive 4 days drill to improve patient care in ER , and equip young doctors with necessary skill for better patient handling , we look forward that you would encourage your young energetic doctors to join us in this effort.

treatment and eradication of breakouts of Cholera and other infectious diseases.

Gustavo Alderguia Lima has 150 bedded including 6 wards , a burn unit and 12 routine operation theatres and 4 emergency operation theatres.Apart from this a Center of Specialized Ambulatory Surgery is also working in coordination with the Provincial Hospital recognised by WHO,PAHO and MINSAP.
these institution provide adequate conditions to carry out all forms of Surgical procedures and impart training to House officers,Post Graduate Trainees,Nurses and Paramedics.

Hospital Provincial Universitario Dr.Gustavo Aldereguia Lima has a 190 bedded Gynecology and Obstetrics wing affiliated with the University of Medical Sciences Of Cienfuegos recognised by WHO,PAHO and MINSAP.

The Hospital is a 180 bedded Pediatric Hospital affiliated with the University of Medical Sciences of Cienfuegos recognized by WHO,PAHO and MINSAP.
Here Patients are admitted through OPD as Well as Emergency Department abd Provides ample oppurtunities for House Physicians to learn emergency and Long term management of Pediatric diseases.This Hospital imparts training to House officers,Post graduates trainees,Nurses and Paramedics.

Hospital provincial Universitario Dr.Gustavo Aldereguia Lima is a teaching hospital affiliated with the university of Medical Sciences of Cienfuegos recognized by WHO,PAHO (Pan-American Health Organization) and MINSAP (Ministry of Public Health ,Cuba).
The Hospital is 640 bedded having 40 wards of different Specialties. Here Patients are admitted through OPD as well as Emergency Department throughout the week,round the year and provide ample oppurtunities for House Physicians to learn emergency as well as long term management of diseases.
