I have 19 years of experience in program planning and designing, implementation and management of activities, liaison, and coordination, for various development projects at national and international non-profit organizations such as DFID, UNICEF, USAID, etc. I have earned M.Phil degree in Leadership and Management Studies from National Defence University, Islamabad, Pakistan. I have also earned an MBA degree in Project Management.
I have recently worked with the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Elementary and Secondary Education Department (KP-ESED) under Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Education Sector Program (KESP) funded by DFID as a Teaching and Learning Manager to establish a digital-content library for the Department of Professional Development (DPD) previously known as PITE. Previously, I worked with the Punjab School Education Department (Punjab-SED) under the Punjab Education Sector Program (PESP-II), funded by DFID as a Material Development Manager, where I provided technical assistance to the Punjab Curriculum and Textbook Board (PCTB), Lahore, in planning, designing, and developing an Academic Calendar, Lesson Plans and Students Worksheets based on National Curriculum for Grade-1 to 8. Before that, I have also worked with the KESP as an Assessment Coordinator in the province of K.P, to implement KPs education department reforms agenda which includes students' and teachers assessments activities (grade 2 to 8, TCS, TCK), Continuing Professional Development of teachers (CPD) program, restructuring of DCTE and PITE/DPD and BISEs for conducting and marking of assessment activities.
I have has also worked with the UNICEF-Pakistan Polio Eradication Initiative where I supported the program management team for mass media campaigns, Polio communication reports, developing an ME reporting matrix, and gathering success stories for COMNet visibility.
Earlier, I have worked with the USAID Teacher Education Project as a Strategic Planning and Policy Officer (Education) to provide technical assistance in the development and implementation of six Provincial Teacher Education Strategies (TES), 87 College Improvement Plans (CIPs), 22 University Strategic Plans and 41 PC-1s. I sharpened my strategic planning skills through high-level coordination with the Higher Education Commission, Education Ministry, The Aga Khan University, Teachers College- Columbia University, and Michigan State University, etc.
I have also worked with the Pre-Service Teacher Education Project (Pre-STEP) - USAID, as Program Support Officer where I contributed to introducing and implementing B.Ed. (Hons) program and Associate Degree in Education (ADE) across Pakistan. During this project, my main role was to provide technical and administrative support to the Strategic Planning Coordinator, Research Coordinator, and Curriculum Development Coordinators. Another important role was to establish and maintain the business relationship with all the partner universities, colleges, provincial educational departments, and the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan.
