概要

I completed my MS degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology in September 2015, from COMSATS Institute of Information Technology, Islamabad, details of which are mentioned in the CV attached in this email. During this period, I studied several courses including cancer genetics, nucleic acids and cell signaling. Along with this I also carried out one year research project which not only enhanced my writing and learning skills but also enabled me to independently carry out practical lab work comprising basic and advanced molecular techniques like conventional PCR and KASP.
Currently, I am working as a research officer in PCMD, ICCBS, on a HEC funded project entitled “Studies on Chemoprevention of Mammary Breast Cancer using Dietary Agents”. I have been working on this project from past two years and have submitted the final project report recently. This project was based of the screening of all dietary plant extracts against 5 breast cancer cell lines and in-vivo study of the active dietary plants. For this purpose, dietary plant extracts were prepared and screened against the cell lines. Also carried out multiple experiments with mice model including, injecting cancers cells for tumor development, different routes of drug administration, and blood collection. Beside this, molecular studies including flow cytometry for apoptosis, cell cycle, cell viability analysis, and RT-PCR, and microscopic analysis for nuclear condensation were performed. After completion of experimental work research paper of the findings will be submitted for publication.
I also have more than a year of work experience as a research assistant at Biological Research department, Dow University of Health Sciences, Karachi, where I was groomed in dealing with cell culture and learned different techniques.
Based on my qualification and skills I am very much enthusiastic and hopeful to work and show my true skills along with the benefit of self-learning.
