Mr. Kashif Ali Qureshi is currently working as Project Manager- Building Disaster Resilience in Pakistan Project with Research and Development Foundation in District Tharparkar. Having 15 Years' full time extensive and diversified experience in DRR, WASH, Livelihood, Climate Change, Formal and Technical Education projects along with Line Departments, National/ International NGOs and Corporate Sector.
Currently, Delivering Disaster Resilient activities to increase capacity of communities through on-farm and off-farm (Vocational Trainings along with market linkages) to reduce disaster risk, through better planning, preparedness, response and resource allocation in 3 cross-cutting sectors CBDRM, WASH and Livelihood in District Tharparkar.
Delivered timely Program Commitments through controlled data management and development community level right based approach and Safeguarding Children and Young People and Inclusion criteria, and budget planning and updating progress by using SAP.
Introduced Safe Internet & School Outreach Program in 15 schools of District Thatta & Sujawal, Liaised with Education department and provided basic missing facilities and IT Labs and enabled teachers to use computers through capacity building training provided DRM and Child Protection issues.
Established 10 Private Vocational Training Centres 1st time ever in North Sindh to promote technical trades along with liaising with markets. Motivated 10 Traditional trade owners and local organizations to the diversified field of technical trades through providing technical assistance training and link trainees with the market.
Explored different business ideas in youth through training and developing Business Development Proposals to contribute to the country's economy. Developed above 300 Business proposals along with business guidelines. Regularized Livestock and vegetable bath in district Sujawal.
Coordinated District Line Department during Education in Emergency after Flood 2010. Monitoring and reporting IPs' activities funded by UNICEF like material provision in Schools, to functionalize of TLC's in flood-prone areas. Identification flood affected area to establish TLCs in liaison with the District Education Department and monitoring activities of hired contractors by UNICEF.
Lead Universal Primary Education Goals in whole district and established close coordination with Line departments and district government to ensure maximum enrolment in schools, Baseline data collection of households in district and enhance capacity of teachers to provide viable environment at schools through trainings, also supported Education department in education in emergencies through establishment 200 TLCs and ECE Centres in disaster-prone areas during Flood 2010.
