Compounds oral prepration , IV fluid and TPN(total parental nutrition)according to the medication order Dispenses medications according to the inpatient physicians\\\' orders and outpatient physician\\\'s prescriptions Monitors pre-packaging and labeling of medications in unit dose quantities for the patients Responds to queries regarding drug availability, dosages, indications, and compatibility Contacts the physicians to confirm the details of prescriptions Records medications and fills nursing and staff requisitions Compounds extemporaneous prescriptions of physicians by following the accepted professional standards.
