As a passionate Project Management Professional, I have diverse experience in program development, implementation and carrying out research in different projects in the development, charity and education sector in the U.K and Pakistan. My expertise lies in communication, management, resource mobilization and developing sustainable programs for women's empowerment, child rights, education, community development, research, documentation and forging partnerships.
I have developed women's empowerment strategies for Haringey Council in the U.K, educational projects in slums in Karachi and partnerships and fundraising with NGOs and charity organizations. I am additionally a British Council certified trainer for their Citizenship Education and Community Engagement Program and have trained young people in community service initiatives.
I have organized fundraisers for disaster relief such as for earthquake victims in Pakistan, Thar drought and for women's and child rights charities working in the social sector.
I possess more than 10 years of experience of working in charity, public and private sector both in campaigns, communication, administration, advocacy, fundraising and community capacity building. Furthermore, I also currently serve as visiting faculty for Development Studies Course at NED University of Engineering and Technology.
From lobbying MPs in the U.K on education, to working with slum children on reading projects, my passion for human rights and community development has given me the exposure of working with people from diverse cultural backgrounds and equipped me with the skills to successfully deliver projects in different contexts.

Projects Coordinator
As the Coordinator I am responsible for Community Service and Social Development Projects and Initiatives. With progressive responsibility:
-Program Management, developing strategy, execution and compliance for programs as per organizational policies

-At Shehri as part of a World Bank sponsored project in partnership with Affiliated Networks for Social Accountability (ANSA), I have worked in developing the capacity building of communities in Gadap Town, rural Karachi.
-I worked with lady health workers for furthering access to better services for women and child health. This experience involved developing access to better health, good governance and women’s empowerment in the three villages in Gadap Town.
-Established mechanisms and practices of social accountability through capacity building of community groups in effective monitoring and social accountability through training in applying the social accountability tool of Community Score Card (CSC).
- Conducted seminars, interviews and focus groups for furthering community capacity building and furthering inclusion of women in decision making forums.

Work Placement in Equalities Unit
I have worked on the research, production and publication of Haringey Council’s Domestic and Gender Based Violence Strategy for 2008-11 whilst working in the Equalities Unit in the Policy, Partnership and Performance Directorate in Haringey Local Council. The Strategy is prepared as a response to policy of zero tolerance for domestic violence to ensure that there is adequate provision and services for victims of domestic violence and abuse in London.
- I contributed towards compiling, analyzing and formatting data
- Analysed its impact and made suggestions for strategic improvements in the Action Plan.
