I am Dr Sajid Ali, an experienced professional with a proven track record in international health and humanitarian settings, is well-suited to take on the role of District Manager for the "Integrated Services for Communities in Pakistan" project. This role requires a skilled leader with expertise in program management, strategic coordination, and service delivery in high-impact environments, especially focusing on enhancing the safety, dignity, and well-being of Afghan refugees and host communities.
In this position, I will be responsible for overseeing the implementation of project activities in the districts of Haripur and Nowshera, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP). Drawing on his extensive background with leading organizations such as WHO, ICRC, International Medical Corps, and CHEF International, I will leverage my multi-sectoral expertise in the areas of gender-based violence (GBV), sexual and reproductive health (SRH), mental health and psychosocial support (MHPSS), public health, and community engagement. I will ensure that the project provides integrated, high-quality services across these sectors, while prioritizing the needs of vulnerable populations, including Afghan refugees and local communities.
1. Program Oversight and Leadership: I can ensure the efficient and effective delivery of the project’s activities in the assigned districts. I will oversee the implementation of integrated services, ensuring alignment with the project’s goals of improving safety, dignity, and well-being through protection services, GBV, SRH, MHPSS, livelihoods, and climate-resilient initiatives.
2. Stakeholder Coordination: Given my past experience managing relationships with key stakeholders, I will be responsible for ensuring strong coordination with local government authorities, community groups, NGOs, and other partners. Applicants leadership will be instrumental in fostering effective collaboration and creating synergies that enhance the impact of the project.
3. Technical Support and Capacity Building: Leveraging my experience as a Coordinator for GBV, Manager of SRH and MHPSS, and Public Health Coordinator will provide technical support to field staff, ensuring that they are equipped with the knowledge and tools to deliver services of the highest quality. He will be instrumental in strengthening the capacity of project teams to address the complex needs of beneficiaries.
4. Monitoring and Evaluation: Applicant will ensure that project activities are continuously monitored and evaluated, keeping track of progress and identifying areas for improvement. His expertise in public health and program management will allow him to identify risks early and implement solutions to mitigate them.
5. Compliance and Reporting: I will ensure compliance with donor and organizational policies, including safeguarding measures and regulations. His experience with international organizations such as WHO and ICRC will ensure that all project activities meet the required standards and protocols. He will also be responsible for providing regular reports on project progress, challenges, and financial management.
6. Promoting Sustainable Development: Applicant's focus will be on the integration of sustainable and climate-resilient practices in livelihoods and community development initiatives. By utilizing his knowledge of public health and family medicine, he will ensure that the project contributes to long-term development goals while addressing the immediate needs of the communities.
7. Team Management and Resource Allocation: Dr. Sajid will oversee the district-level project staff, ensuring optimal allocation of resources and a high level of team performance. He will provide guidance and support to the team to ensure that the project is delivered efficiently and effectively.
