As part of our development team we are looking to bring in a Tech Lead that will help shape and drive the technical output of our projects. The role involves managing the teams working on design, build and deployment of new features to our Web Application and APIs along with customizing ready-made solutions as per needs of our customers. Our developers work together as a unit to understand and solve technical challenges. All of our engineers pride themselves on the attention to detail, the small details that accumulate into a great experience for our end users.

The Role:
We are seeking an experienced software engineer, to join our team as a squad leader. As a squad leader, you will work closely with the Head of Development to define the architecture, deliverables and timelines to meet the needs of a rapidly growing young business, and lead your squad through the scrum process to deliver valuable software solutions.
This role would suit a naturally collaborative engineer, looking to move into a leadership role whilst staying hands on. You will play a pivotal role in shaping and defining our architecture, so it is vital that you thrive in a technically challenging role and want to apply best practices to cutting edge technology to deliver exceptional software.
You will lead your squad, through each sprint. Guiding and supporting squad members towards the sprint goal; ensuring the squad adheres to the defined processes and delivers value.
Starting with building an API to enable the automated onboarding of more than 2 million new customers, client’s roadmap includes projects to deliver back office and automation projects, as well as a platform to manage the client’s network.

Responsibilities:
- Contribute to software development projects: coding, reviewing and testing new features, integrations and bug fixes.
- Lead, guide and support squad members.
- Facilitate and participate in Scrum ceremonies.
- Collaborate on and contribute to architectural plans.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure requirements are met to the highest standard.
Skills and Requirements:
- MUST minimum of 6 years of experience in NodeJS.
- MUST minimum of 3 years of experience in AWS Compute: EC2, ECS, Lambda, Kubernetes, etc.
- MUST minimum of 3 years of experience in AWS Database.
- MUST have excellent knowledge of TDD.
- MUST have excellent knowledge of Git.
- MUST have excellent knowledge of working with MongoDB.
- MUST have excellent knowledge of Design Patterns and their implementations.
- MUST have excellent knowledge of Agile Methodologies.
- MUST have experience working with JIRA ticketing.
- MUST have experience of Domain Driven Development.
- MUST have experience of creating Micro-Services API.
- MUST have knowledge and experience of Event Driven Architecture / Event Sourcing.
