Splicer / OFC Technician is responsible for managing OFC is operational round the clock on the road under his responsibility and is directly reported to OFC Supervisor for it, while adhering to the policies and following the SOPs laid down of the organization. OFC Tech / Splicer assist the OFC Supervisor in ensuring that all the responsibilities of OFC are being performed smoothly and in the most proficient manner.
The salient duties of Splicer / OFC Tech are:
1. To ensure that the deployment, tracing & troubleshooting of OFC is being timely managed.
2. Responsible for quick response if any OFC link goes down.
3. To ensure the safety before performing activity on fast track.
4. To ensure that the OFC health is according to standards.
5. Submit daily activity reports in details to JM/DM.
6. Responsible for maintenance of OFC tools after completion of activity.
