• Prepare cancer patient’s data and statistical reports for research, special studies, education and administrative planning
  • Through the use of multiple sources, identify all reportable cases of cancer (Case-finding)
  • Ensure accurate data collection, abstraction and interpretation of data pertaining to all cancer patients diagnosed or treated in Shifa International Hospital
  • Design and coordinate reports using registry data, prepare and disseminate statistical data, narrative summaries, comparison, survival analyze, graphic presentations, table and chart for studies and the annual report
  • Coach, facilitate, investigate issues and act as the primary resource for conflict resolutions coding questions
  • Keep abreast of changes in reference materials and current literature relative to tumor registry
  • Follow international cancer Registry standard and enter in specific cancer registry software program
  • Assist in the development and implement changes in tumor registry policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation changes
  • Participate in quality control activities for accuracy and consistency of abstracting and staging
  • Attend continuing education programs, maintaining up-to-date reference manuals and demonstrating a working knowledge of new and revised procedures for compliance with accrediting agencies and the state tumor registry
