The incumbent is to initiate the implementation of the approved Alumni engagement framework.

Develop and manage the AKHSS and SMS alumni tracking database and keep it fully updated
Implement various alumni engagement activities
Maintain regular communication with the alumni on a day to day basis
Update the alumni website on a regular basis with news, information, school and alumni activity reports, success stories, photos etc.
Organize quarterly newsletter to keep alumni fully informed about school and alumni related matters
Organize school visits for those alumni who may be visiting from abroad, or for locally based alumni who wish to visit the school
Engage interested alumni in volunteer work for AKESP or the schools given the needs of the institution and the skills set various alumni possess. Alumni tracking and database should help with this task, and it can be managed on same lines as TKN volunteer assignments.
Connect the Ismaili alumni with TKN office so that both the alumni and TKN office can mutually benefit from the TKN program
Create opportunities for the alumni to financially support certain activities and programs in their schools. This can include fee assistance for the current marginalized students, scholarship fund, equipment purchase, capital improvements, support extra-curricular programs such as sports, debates, drama, music and art programs. Certain alumni in business or in senior corporate positions could have their businesses/companies sponsor some activities as promotional partners; if such promotional partnerships fall within AKESP’s policy.

Aga Khan Education Service, Pakistan (AKES,P) is a network of educational institutions that combines the operation of 159 schools and 5 hostels with the management of programmes to enhance the quality of teachers, academic resources and learning environments in Pakistan through community partnerships and long-term interventions. It is one of the largest third-sector networks of educational institutions in Pakistan and part of an international network of over 200 schools spread in 8 countries of the world under the Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN). Reaching out to the remotest areas of the country, AKES,P has been providing quality education in the region for the past 110 years. It is a direct provider of education for nearly 36,000 students from pre-primary to higher secondary levels and facilitates access to higher education through the provision of scholarships, hostels and other educational support services.With more than 2,000 employees, of whom over 1,500 areteachers, AKES,P is also supported by over 2,000 volunteers. In Gilgit-Baltistan and Chitral, the first AKES,P schools were setup in the 1940s; since then they have contributed significantly toincreasing the literacy rates and social development in theremote, mountainous, harsh and ecologically fragile regions ofNorthern Pakistan. AKES,P currently operates 151 schools inGilgit-Baltistan and Chitral, providing education to over 27,000students, of which 54% are girls. Through these efforts, AKES,Pis continuing to play a critical role in women’s development inthe region. In the Southern Region, AKES,P operates four schools in Karachi,three in Hyderabad and rural Sindh and one in Hafizabad,Punjab, with over 8,900 students. All AKES,P schools follow theNational Curriculum but place special emphasis on the teachingof English, Mathematics, Science and the increasing use ofInformation and Communication Technologies (ICT).
