Labor Resource Centre (LRC) is a non-governmental development organisation (NGDO) and was established by concerned and committed peoples from different walks of life in Nov. 02, 2002 to address the issues facing by the workers of informal sector. However it got registration on February 14, 2004. The Centre was envisioned to function as a hub for building human capacities and support underprivileged and marginalised workforce, acquiring and adapting skills and knowledge through training, linking and learning, knowledge building and identify employment opportunities through viable but sustainable mechanisms.

The guided principles of the Centre are inclusiveness, a human focus, transparency, democratic functioning, low profile, high quality, and austerity. Its strength is mobilization, training and optimal utilization of available human resources.

The Mission of the Centre is "to facilitate workers in informal sector specifically women and minorities for their socioeconomic uplift, imparting new and better skills, useful knowledge and promoting collective advocacy actions to influence policies, decisions and plan affecting their lives."
