Quality Assurance Planning

To make sure that testing is well defined, planned and executed. The analyst does this by ensuring that every phase and feature of the software solution is tested and that any potential issue is identified and fixed before the product goes live.
Defines the scope and testing approach, reviewing requirements and technical documentation for usage, testability and traceability, deploying and managing the testing framework, and managing testing resources.
Leads test plan and test case development, reviews and approval.
Responsible for designing and leading testing and validation of web apps, mobile apps and cloud based systems.
Evaluates and plans quality assurance tests for new software applications according to business and functional requirements.
Ensuring effective product implementation by ensuring the QA/QC activities are planned during the project planning phase.
Applies test methodology, development and product knowledge in the design of tests and testing strategies.
Plans analysis, inspection, design, test, and/or integration to assure the quality for large and complex projects.
Performs reviews of design documentation from a quality assurance perspective for compliance with stated requirements.
Develops new approaches to solve problems identified during quality assurance activities.
Prepares reports to communicate involvement and results of quality assurance activities to senior management.
Ensures delivery against product goals and objectives, i.e. meeting commitments and coordinating overall quality assurance schedule.
Communicates significant issues identified during quality assurance activities and provides recommended process improvements.
Provide expertise and leadership on QA solutions that meet or exceed the requirements of both internal and external customers

Manual and Automated Testing

Responsible for driving manual and automated tests execution and status reporting.
Leads the testing / validation efforts of products and cloud based platforms.
Perform API level testing, system testing, black box functional testing and UI testing. Comfortable with fast-paced, schedule driven development.
Performs test phases activity (unit, system, integration, release, user acceptance) of complex (cross functional, multi-site) projects to ensure a successful implementation of technology solutions.
Conducts, provides and is accountable for the accuracy of work estimates for testing/validation activities. Anticipates changes to the project estimate and escalates accordingly.
Accountable for providing the project teams with testing/validation results to make the determination that a system is ready to move into production.

Documentation and Training

Responsible for developing and documenting user, functional and design requirements.
Participates in the identification of risks and the development of mitigation strategies for projects.
Supports project teams to provide assurance that requirements, design, and other project documents and deliverables meet quality standards.
Manages and monitors defect reports and works with developers and other project team members to verify resolution.

Minimum of 8 years’ experience in software quality assurance.

Must be self-directed and have the ability to work with minimal oversight.

Good interpersonal and communication skills.

Ability to multi-task and remain productive in a service-driven and results oriented environment.

Demonstrate, analytical, and problem solving skills.
