Scope/position description:
This position covers the overall Engineering operations and facilitating the company in the perspective of Engineering services in the effective manner.
Responsibilities and related tasks:
Ø Lead and manage planning activities in compliance with company’s policy and the development and implementation of strategic maintenance plan, monitor schedule effectiveness, identify and analyze gaps and guide for improvement
Ø Review the operation of plant equipment and systems constantly, to minimize unplanned downtime, anticipate, solve problems in a timely manner, and to identify opportunities for improvement.
Ø Prepares reports, analyze data, and make recommendations for improving plant operations and solve maintenance-related problems.
Ø Monitor the use and inventories of spare parts, maintenance supplies, equipment and initiate reordering when necessary.
Ø Communicate regularly with all maintenance staff, both individually and as a group, to ensure good two-way communication concerning maintenance issues.
Ø Ensure that engineering staff are adequately trained, equipped, and motivated so that the maintenance program can be accomplished in a safe, timely, and cost-effective manner.
Ø Take positive/pro-active approach to the coaching, mentoring & training of engineering staff with a view to developing them in their positions.
Ø Prepare the annual departmental budget for the plant / machines and projects
Ø Prepare / monitor the annual and preventive maintenance plans of main plant & utilities
Ø Incorporate safety measures in all the equipments by implementing safety methods, controls, warning systems, on the job trainings of the staff, to avoid accidents, loss of machine, parts, labor hours, for safety operation.
Ø Identify, manage and delegate project dependencies and critical path.
Technical specification review and resolution.
