- Be able to identify high risk behaviors in a woman during pre-natal period.
- Be able to identify pre-natal mental disorders e.g. pain, loss, depression etc.
- Be able to differentiate pre-existing mental health disorders (e.g. OCD, bipolar affective disorder) from pregnancy induced psychological anxiety and disorders (post-partum depression or puerperal psychosis etc.)
- Ability to identify and manage various phobias of women especially in prei-natal period.
- Ability to identify and manage women with PTSD (post-traumatic stress disorder) e.g. loss of a child or a child with congenital anomalies/disorders etc. through humanistic counseling.
- Ability to provide focused psychological strategies: psycho-education, cognitive behavior therapy, relaxation, skills training, interpersonal therapy, and narrative therapy.
- Capability of working in an integrated system to customize sessions along with nutrition and physical fitness routines.
- Plans and coordinates the work schedule properly and maintains data of the client documented in manual as well as computer files.
- Performs any other duty assigned by the management relevant to the objectives of wellness center.
- Sound background knowledge of psychological stages and beliefs of a woman in of a normal pregnancy; in pre-conception and pre-natal period.
