Accounting Hunter is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join our accounting team. In this role, you will play a critical part in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the day-to-day accounting operations of the company. Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily bookkeeping tasks such as recording transactions, managing accounts payable and receivable, and reconciling bank statements.
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including journals, ledgers, and financial statements.
- Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Support the accounting team in managing payroll processing, including calculating wages, taxes, and other deductions.
- Utilize Microsoft Excel to create and maintain financial spreadsheets, track data, and perform data analysis.
- Assist in the preparation of tax documents and support tax filing processes.
- Maintain compliance with accounting standards, policies, and regulations.
- Provide support for audits by gathering necessary documentation and information.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and recommend solutions to enhance efficiency.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including experience with formulas, functions, and data manipulation.
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in accounting software is a plus.
- Previous work experience in accounting or finance is beneficial but not required.
