Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Assures the presence of the water supply staff and required machinery on site.
- Manages the extraction, storage, and supply of water as per demand and forecasted needs.
- Provides swift solutions to the complaints of the residents related to water supply and sewerage.
- Establish the culture, appearance, and reliable function of well-maintained facilities, property, vehicles, and equipment.
- Ensures that all system emergencies are addressed in a timely manner, causes are determined, and remedial plans are developed.
- Ensure adequate water supply and quality of water meeting all standards.
- Ensures scheduled maintenance and calibration of all water treatment equipment is completed on the appropriate schedule.
- Supervise the attendance, overtime, leaves, and welfare of the employees working in the water supply department.
- Implement a safety program and updates; manage staff, including schedules; set and enforce performance standards; and enforce safety precautions.
- Communicate department strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats with the general manager of technical in a timely manner.
- Evaluates the long-term workload and makes staffing recommendations.
JOB SPECIFICATION:
A minimum period of 7 years in the relative facility with escalating demand for water treatment and distribution operations and maintenance experience, including 3 years of lead or supervisory responsibility. Technology literate and professionally equipped with a great intellect.
