Design Engineer (Highway)

The successful candidate will play a key role in planning, designing, and implementing highway, drainage, and sewerage projects for societies, ensuring compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and project objectives.

Responsibilities:

Conduct site investigations and surveys to assess existing infrastructure, soil conditions, topography, and technical characteristics relevant to highway/roadway, drainage, and sewer system design.
Prepare technical designs by design standards and perform roadway geometric design for horizontal and vertical alignment, profiles, typical Sections, intersections, and other related infrastructure using engineering software and tools.
Perform hydrological studies and develop hydraulic models to design drainage infrastructure and culvert design ensuring compliance with standards and regulations, for effective stormwater management in infrastructure projects, minimizing flood risk.
Design and implement sewer systems to manage wastewater effectively using engineering software and tools.
Conduct site inspections to gather information for project planning and design purposes.
Collaborate with other professionals to ensure project success.
Conduct site visits to assess project scope and constraints.
Provide technical support during the construction phase, reviewing plans to ensure compliance with design specifications and quality standards.

Skills Required:

Bachelor or Master degree plus 8-10 years of experience in the design of highway/roadway, drainage, and sewer systems for various societies.
Proficiency in engineering software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Eagle Point, Sewer GEMS, Civil Storm, and similar types of software.
Strong knowledge of transportation, drainage, and sewerage engineering principles, standards, and regulations.
Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
