Our client, a leading advertising agency in Pakistan, with international affiliation, is based in Karachi and is looking for a dynamic individual to lead the Finance Function of the Company.
Preference shall be given to individuals with experience in media, communications, advertising and allied services.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Financial accounting and internal control systems
- Designing & ensuring the accounting and internal control systems .
- Ensuring proper maintenance of all books of accounts and subsidiary records and their reconciliation.
- Ensuring timely preparation of financial statements·
- Meetings with external auditors for finalizing the audited financial statements
- Budgetary and management information systems·
- Ensuring timely preparation and review of correct financial management information reports and taking necessary actions·
- Developing guidelines for preparing the budget and its finalization·
- Reviewing budget variance report and taking appropriate actions to exercise cost control·
- Driving cost efficiencies and identifying opportunities for improvement
Funds and assets management
- Managing cash flow and working capital requirement of the Company·
- Reviewing cash flow forecast of the Company and in case of availability of surplus funds seeking approval of Top Management for investing funds in appropriate investment scheme · Preparing financial policies and rendering financial advices to the management·
- Analyzing investment schemes, profit rates and financial statements of banks and DFIs·
- Analyzing and recommending roll-on of the investments and profits on maturity·
- Identify favorable means of financing and negotiate with banks on markup rates, bank charges, etc.·
- Monitor receivables and creditors for proper cash flow management·
- Liaising with customers and suppliers for settlement of all finance related matters.
- Managing and exercising controls over inventory and assets
Corporate and Tax Compliance
- Ensuring compliance with corporate, tax and other statutory requirements relating to the Company·
- Liaising with the Company’s advisors with respect to corporate, tax or other statutory matters
