  • Responsible to maintain safety standards and continually seek ways to improve safety standards
  • Establish and ensure implementation of best safety practices
  • Advise Management on all matters pertaining to safety and health
  • Conduct site visits/audits
  • Review internal HSE policies and procedures to ensure they are current and appropriate.
  • Communicate the systems and provisions for implementation of safety and health procedures/ instructions within the organization
  • Participate /attend industry related conferences
  • Directs the resources and activities to support the HSE programs by providing advice and guidance
  • Responsible for the staffing and directing the EHS Department
  • Responsible for the development of an annual budget
  • Establish and maintain a system incident reporting, investigation and analysis
  • Conduct Safety Department Review at least once every six
  • Responsible for the Learning & Development, Employee Retention, Grievance Handling, Succession Planning, Motivation & Objective Setting for subordinates to achieve company’s as well as departmental objectives.

In Pakistan, Berger Paints Pakistan Limited came into existence on the 25th of March, 1950 with the opening of Jenson & Nicholson trading company at Karachi. In the year 1973, the company began a process of expansion of its existing capacity, as there was an increase in the demand for paints in the country. Five years after expansion of Berger started, a branch office was opened in Islamabad in 1978.
