DoLocal Ltd., a multi-award winning full service digital marketing agency based in Liverpool, UK, is seeking a talented Mid-Level PHP Developer to join their team in Pakistan.
You'll play a key role in developing and maintaining our web applications, with a focus on customisation and integration of custom codes.
Responsibilities
1. Design, develop, and implement high-quality, reusable, and maintainable PHP code.
2. Customise existing WordPress themes and plugins to fit our specific needs.
3. Develop custom plugins to extend the website's existing functionality.
4. Write clean, efficient, and well-documented queries to manage and manipulate MySQL databases
5. Utilise JavaScript/ JQuery effectively to enhance user experience and interactivity (basic to moderate understanding required)
Experience / Qualifications
1. 1-2 years of experience.
2. Strong understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) concepts.
3. Experience with popular PHP frameworks (e.g. Laravel, CodeIgniter) is an advantage.
4. Basic understanding of SEO is a plus.
5. Should be familiar with working with Elementor / WPBakery Page builders.
6. Proven experience customizing WordPress themes and plugins.
7. Solid knowledge of MySQL databases and writing efficient SQL queries.
8. Basic to moderate understanding of JavaScript or JQuery.
9. Knowledge and/or experience of working on other website development platforms such as Wix, Duda, WebFlow etc.

Hours of Work
Should be able to work between 1 pm - 9 pm PST (Pakistan time) i.e. 9 am to 5 pm UK time Monday to Friday and every alternate Saturday.
