Gloria Jean’s Coffees Pakistan is looking for an expertly-trained and innovative head bakery and pastry chef to work at one of our main production sites in Lahore. The ideal candidate will have the culinary expertise and experience to make a wide variety of desserts and baked goods, including confectionary work. He or she must understand and appreciate the subtleties of flavor pairings and different tastes, and have a good aesthetic sense for food and pastry presentation. The candidate must be able to read and follow recipes in English, and, if needed, to develop them further. The head bakery and pastry chef will be responsible for not only leading and overseeing the daily preparation of all baked goods and pastries at one of our main production sites in Lahore, but also for training and advising locally-employed chefs at franchised outlets in Lahore and other cities.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare baked foods, pastries and desserts using existing recipes and in accordance with Gloria Jean’s Coffees requirements and standards

Research and develop new recipes

Closely inspect and maintain the quality of ingredients for each preparation

Ensure that all production and storage areas are kept well organized and clean

Supervise subordinates and inculcate into staff members new standards imposed by the management

Periodically train and advise locally employed chefs and cooking assistants at franchised outlets in Lahore and other cities
