1. Oversee the daily performance of computer systems.

2. Setup equipment for employees use, performing or ensuring proper installation of cables, operating systems or appropriate software.

3. Refer major hardware or software problems or defective products to vendor or technician for service.

4. Read technical manuals, confer with users or conduct computer diagnostics to investigation and resolve problem or to provide technical assistance and support.

5. Install and perform minor repairs to hardware, software or peripheral equipment following design or installation specification.

6. Enter commands and obscure systems functioning to verify correct operations and detect errors.

7. Confer with staff, users and management to establish requirement for new systems or modification.

8. Answer user inquiries regarding computer software or hardware operation to resolve problems.

9. Develop training material and procedures or train users in proper use of hardware or software.
