General Scope of Work:

Finance Department is responsible for overall financial management of the organization. AFO deals with timely accounting of all transactions and monitoring and reconciliation of financial records. He/she is also responsible to ensure that financial policies and procedures are followed strictly and any deviations thereto should be highlighted immediately. Assist the Sr. Finance Officer in administrative and financial operations of the regional program and projects and in its jurisdiction.

Main Responsibilities & Tasks:

1. Payments
  1. Checking payment vouchers and resolving discrepancies
  2. Monitoring the timely disbursement of payments.
  3. Preparing Journal Vouchers related to payments.
  4. Monitoring and ageing of Payables.
2. Examining the petty cash payments and resolving discrepancies.
  1. Reviewing and monitoring of petty cash statements and bills
  2. Effective and efficient management of petty cash
3. Receipts
  1. Checking bank and cash receipt vouchers and resolving discrepancies
  2. Monitoring timely deposits in bank accounts.
4. Preparing bank reconciliations statements of programs/projects
5. Timely payment of EOBI and related payments
6. Timely payment of tax/s and online submission within given deadlines.
7. Assist and coordinate with Sr. Finance Officer to complete the internal & external audits.
8. Coordinate and communicate with relevant banks
9. Timely collection of fee and submission to bank on daily basis.
10. Extend support to Sr. Finance Officer in preparing budgets and compiling relevant information.
11. Any assignment given from supervisor from time to time.

Professional Requirements:

  • At least 2 years relevant work experience
  • In depth Knowledge/experience of accounting cycle.
  • Ability to meet targets within tight deadlines
  • Result-oriented team player
  • Sound judgment, flexibility, adaptability and cultural sensitivity.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite required.

Qualification Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree from a recognized university, working towards a Master degree or a professional accounting qualification.
