Job Purpose: The incumbent would be responsible to plan and carry out all activities related to job placement of newly trained trainees in the job market.

Main Responsibilities & Tasks:

Maintaining the Data base and tracking

  • Develop procedures for trainees profiling
  • Maintain the Data base of CVs of all registered trainees and walk-in clients in an accessible manner
  • Compile the socio-demographic and training information of registered trainees
  • Disseminate trainings schedules to all ex-trainees including vocational & Life Skills Programs
  • Update the records and strengthen the partnership and track ex-trainees on monthly basis and update records

Job Searching and Placing

  • To collect information on available jobs and share with the potential trainees
  • To visit employer’s web sites and identify potential jobs relevent to the trainees
  • Searching Jobs from newspapers, Magazines, Job portals and the Yahoo group/other communities
  • Visit companies and ensure placment of trained trainees
  • Assist trainees in placing and sharing CV data base to potential employers

Training & Development

  • Identify training areas and help the trainees to prepare their CV/resume etc
  • Plan and organize the workshop/session to build the capacity of trainees in resume writing, interview skills etc to enable them to get appropriate jobs.
  • Organize life skills session or Vital Job Skills training in house as well as at the project office

Career counselling

  • Conduct Counselling sessions to registered trainees about JPC services and its benefits
  • Advice and counsel students regarding career selection, job searches, internship

Promotion and Linkages

  • Promote Job placement cell on different plat forms and networks
  • Visit companies and create linkages
  • Visit different placement cells of different universities and colleges to develop the links
  • Prepare and submit monthly report

Required Experience and Competencies

  • Master’s degree in management/social sciences
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in NGO with minimum 1 year relevant experience
  • Good marketing and selling skills.
  • Good communication skills, problem solving skills, community mobilization skills and sound IT skills are essential.
