The IT Operations Manager ensures reliable, highly available, easily serviceable, secure environments supporting ongoing, daily operations for multiple, global business entities, operations and systems and applications. Develops and improves company’s comprehensive IT strategy and maintains lifecycle management for systems and applications and supervises Operation support staff and services, network administration, database operations, infrastructure security, and event support.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Manages day-to-day Operations support management scheduling and work of technicians, work orders, priorities, reporting and analysis.
  • Periodic projects include analysis, recommendation and implementation applications.
Creates and maintains standards and procedures for:
  • Systems audit, deployment and maintenance.
  • Administration methodology.
  • Machine setups, System "health" and Event checklists.
  • Periodic system maintenance (i.e. re-boots, resets, database utilities).
  • Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery.
  • Develops and maintains standards.
  • Participate in and support compliance activities.
  • Coordinated deployments, support and event coverage for teams.
  • Provide training, coaching and mentoring for the Operation support staff and stakeholders.
Preferred Skills:
  • Strong technical and management background in technical systems/environments with 6+ years’ experience in operations, support and infrastructure.
  • Advanced understanding of business processes, internal control risk management, IT controls and related standards.
  • Effective interpersonal skills and experience working with and/or supporting internal and external customers (Delivery and Support) and vendors.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, follow up, documentation preparation and maintenance skills, and a service orientation.
  • Administrative system and network management skills
  • Strong Database Skills
  • Demonstrated experience supervising support staff.
  • Ability to multi-task and persevere in a fast paced dynamic environment, while maintaining a sense of urgency.
  • Service Strategy, Service Design, Service Transition, Service Operation, Continual Service Improvement and the processes in each of these five lifecycle phases.
  • Current State Assessment, Tool Deployment, Health Check, Service Catalog Design, Application Alignment, Data Management Strategy, Process Maturity, Process Deployment.
