Overview:

Jhpiego, an affiliate of Johns Hopkins University is implementing Maternal and Child Health Integrated Program to introduce and scale up high-impact maternal, newborn and child health interventions in Sindh Province. Jhpiego seeks suitable candidate for the following position.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that trainings information is captured well in hard copies and entered into database. On monthly bases run data quality checks for the availability of error free trainings data.
  • Work closely with contracted organization for the data collection and report thier progress on specific list of monitoring plans.
  • Conduct the monitoring visits to assure the data collection is as per set standards and protocols.
  • Accompany project staff for health facility visits to ensure that monitoring checklists are filled properly and action plans are developed & implemented.
  • Facilitate project staff to carryout Quality Improvement and patient Safety (QIPS) assessments by supporting data management and training on scoring protocols.
  • Lead the biannually Data Quality Audits (QDA) with the support from regional and Karachi offices.
  • Improvise data tables and graphs in monthly meetings of district staff.
  • Assist community mobilization team for the systematic monitoring of Community Support Groups (CSGs) and other activities.
  • Prepare the monitoring reports along with suggestions / required actions to be taken and share with managers to update the status of activities.
  • Monitor and document dropout of health facilities in the respective district.
  • Any other tasks assigned by the supervisor.

Experience and Qualification

  • Master’s degree in Public Health, Economics, Psychology, Sociology, or Management
  • Should have at least 5 years’ experience at similar position.
  • Must have excellent working knowledge of MS Office, knowledge of databases will be considered as plus point.
  • 50% of time required to spend in the field.
  • Should be able to develop quarterly results reports.
  • Capacity to interact with managers at different levels to ensure understanding of key findings.
  • The candidate must have the ability to work in a fast paced environment with an ability to adhere to strict deadlines. Must be able to work independently and respond to queries in a timely manner.

By 2017, thousands of deaths of women, newborn babies and infants will have been prevented as a result of the USAID/Pakistan MCH Program. USAID/Pakistan has, in cooperation with the USAID Office of Inspector General, established the Anti-Fraud Hotline to provide an avenue for the reporting of fraud, waste, and abuse which may be associated with USAID funded projects in Pakistan.
