JOB PURPOSE:Finance Assistant will assist the Finance and Admin Officer in financial management of the project. Finance Assistant deals with timely accounting of all transactions and assists in monitoring and reconciliation of financial records.
Main Responsibilities & Tasks:
Payments (Donor funded project)
- Checking payment vouchers and resolving discrepancies
- Timely disbursement of payments.
- Preparing Journal Vouchers related to payments.
- Monitoring and aging of Payables.
- Checking bank and cash receipt vouchers and resolving discrepancies
- Timely deposits in bank accounts.
- Monitoring and aging of Receivables.
- Assist in preparing bank reconciliations statements of the project.
- Assist in Payroll checking and preparing reconciliations.
- Assist in Reconciliation of Grants of projects.
- Assist during the project Audit.
- Assist in Preparation of Financial reports for Donor Agencies.
- Assist in Coordination and meetings with head office and Donor Agencies
- Assist in Monthly & Quarterly Financial Reporting to donor
