IT Support Engineer

Logic Information Systems is a fast-growing project-centric consulting organization and an Oracle Retail Implementation Partner, which specializes in solving our clients' business problems with expert technology implementations and custom software development and integration services.

Due to our incredible growth and client demand, we are seeking a competent candidate for the position of IT Support Engineer.

The IT Support Engineer works closely with Logic’s Technical Team to provide first level remote support to client related to Oracle batches. The position is required to work in shifts and shadow other team members work routine as well.

Primary Responsibilities

To receive, log a bug and provide first level remote support to client related to Oracle batches.
To escalate batch related issues to concerned technical teams where required.
Follow up and coordinate the fulfillment of the customer complain and oracle SR.
To work on shifts and ensure that the system runs smoothly.
To provide continuous support to the Technical Team
To identify issues in the process and give a brief to Manager – Technical Team.
Completes required weekly administrative tasks including, individual status report and time and expense entry

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Engineering, or Computer Science
Basic know how of windows and UNIX operating systems installation.
Basic knowledge of Windows and UNIX commands e.g. VNC, Cron, Shell, FTP/SFTP/SCP, Compress tools like Zip, GZipans TAR, and Directory/File permissions and movement.
Basic knowledge of Oracle SQL commands, making connections to DB.
Good spoken and written communication skills
Ability to work effectively for varying hours and shifts including holidays & weekends
Should be a team player
Adaptable to work in all sections of a system

Desirable

0-2 years’ of work experience in a role of IT support
Basic know how of Oracle installation
