We are thrilled to offer an internship opportunity for an ambitious candidate to join our team as a Tax Intern. As an intern in our Tax Department, you will gain hands-on experience and contribute to various aspects of tax-related tasks, setting the stage for a promising career in the field.
Responsibilities:
- Assisting in the preparation and filing of monthly sales tax returns (Federal and Provincial).
- Learning the ropes of Income Tax Return preparation and filing.
- Supporting the team in the preparation and filing of quarterly advance tax work.
- Gaining experience in the preparation and E-filing of Withholding Tax Statements.
- Assisting in ensuring compliance with notices/audits/orders from Federal or Provincial authorities, including data compilation, review, and submission within tight deadlines.
- Engaging in any other tasks assigned by the Head of Department.
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Enthusiastic about learning and gaining practical experience in tax compliance.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced work environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
