Required Skills and Experience:
- · Strong understanding of database structures, theories, principles, and practices
- · Strong grip on Structured Query Language (SQL)
- · Experience with installation and configuration of SQL Server 2008, 2008R2 and 2012 in Clustered environment
- · Must have experience on tuning database queries and indexes
- · Strong experience with high availability and Disaster Recovery (DR) solutions, mirroring, always on availability groups, CDC and log shipping
- · Experience with design and Implementation of SQL Server Disaster Recovery and High Availability Solutions
- · Experience on big (by data size) databases
- · Experience with DB monitoring tools
- · Ability to interact with highly-motivated development staff
- · Ability to prioritize and execute tasks
- · Work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
- · Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- · Analytical and problem solving skills
- · Ability to multi-task and prioritize
- · Experience with Oracle PL/SQL and SQL Server to Oracle migration
- · Oracle Performance tuning and Optimization skills
