Understand requirements and define SOW
• Estimation and Risk Assessment on merit
• Conduct business process analyses to gather requirements and develop RFPs.
• Responsible for end-to-end project management throughout the life cycle of a software/system development project/ program.
• Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a clear fashion.
• Maximize team effectiveness and drive for continuous improvement.
• Understand the project risks and impacts to enterprise products and systems.
• Ensure the team's progress and successes are highly visible to all stakeholders and to the team itself.
• Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential road blocks, and prepare contingency plans.
• Develops detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports.
Skills
• Overall 9+ years’ experience in software industry
• Minimum of 3-5 years' direct work experience in a project management capacity, including all aspects of process development and execution
• Solid technical background with understanding and/or hands-on experience in software development and web technologies.
• Strong grip on application architecture, design and deployments.
• Hands on experience of Agile/Scrum
• Proven expertise in Open Source development and good understanding of web development
• Strong awareness/Working knowledge of latest Open Source trends e.g. emerging PHP Frameworks, ROR, NodeJS etc
• Experience with traditional project management practices such as estimation, budgeting, resource allocation, scope management, change management, risk management, escalation, etc.
• Strong Leadership and Team Driving Skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
