General Accountability:

The Systems Analyst reports to the Manager, Corporate Application Services and is responsible for: Maintaining and Supporting Corporate Applications, analyzing reported problems, proposing and implementing solutions to the reported problems, advising software and systems, and coordinating the problem solving process and ensuring that the business standards and requirements are met. The Systems Analyst should be familiar with multiple approaches to solving a problem and will be asked to choose the most appropriate solution. Implementing and upgrading existing solutions as may be applicable from time to time, and using programming knowledge to write new solutions as needed.

Specific Accountabilities

  • Responsible for maintaining, supporting, design and implementation of medium sized systems.
  • Involved in the maintenance and enhancement of existing operational application systems, working under moderate supervision. Duties will also include monitoring, testing and documentation.
  • Develops and prepares computer solutions using standard development methodologies, programming languages and platforms, working with users and systems to prepare flowcharts, codes, tests and training materials. Capable of working on most phases of programming activities, with guidance for the most complex components.
  • Working with defined design, develops detailed specifications for software programming applications, prepare codes, tests and debugs programs and maintains and documents programs in accordance with standards.

Qualifications (Education/Experience/Skills & Abilities)

  • Degree in Computer Science or equivalent/related education
  • Essential Expertise: SQL Server, Dot Net programming languages, Application Support
  • Preferred Expertise: Knowledge of ERP systems (like Sage X3), ConnectWise, ASP.NET and Classical ASP programming, Microsoft Dynamic Applications, SharePoint.
  • Minimum 5+ years IT experience
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Understanding of business practices and project management methodology.
