Assistant Manager Technical
Job Purpose
· This position exists to assist the Manager Technical, in the Operations & Maintenance of the Data Center (Systems, Database and the Network), as well as the Development of Enhancements and Changes in PMD’s Applications.
Job Requirements:
- Assists with the Support and Maintenance of the Data Center
- Maintain PMD's Network, including the Cisco Routers / Firewall & Switches
- Coordinate with the CMOs and Vendors for the timely resolutions of the problems/issues
- Generate regular and on-demand reports on various aspects of functionality and service utilization of Data Center Systems
- Plans and Implements Disaster Recovery / Business Continuity Processes/Procedures
- Monitor and ensure the back-up / restoration of the Data Center Systems
- Assist the Manager Technical in Developing and Maintaining Technical documentation of the Data Center Systems
- Assist the Manager Technical in Developing and Implementing the Data Center SOPs
- Assist the Manager Technical in Automating Operational Reporting and Systems Maintenance tasks
- Assist the Sr. Manager Technical in improving Alarms and Alerts system for efficient and Timely rectification/resolutions of Issues
- Coordinate with CMOs and Vendors for the Development of Enhancements / Changes in the Data Center and ensure smooth Implementation
- Coordinates with the Vendors-Support Providers for the timely resolutions of the problems
- Monitors and coordinates the rectification of Technical Problems & Queries related to Systems and Applications for internal / external stakeholders
- Assists with the operational and developmental support of existing / new projects in coordination with the internal / external teams
Experience/Qualifications:
- 4-Year Degree in Computer Sciences, Software Engineering, Information Technology or related discipline
- 5+ years of proven experience of relevant experience
- Must have CCNP Certification
Skills
• Managing Real-time applications in Production Environment.
• Linux Systems Administration;
• Software Development in Java, Web Applications etc
Excellent communication skills (English - written, oral & presentation) and strong interpersonal skills
