Major Responsibilities:

The Finance Intern will:

  • Assist with processing Bank and Petty Cash payments
  • Assist with preparing cash and bank reconciliation.
  • Assist Finance Officer with handling day to day bank transactions, depositing cheques, collecting DDs etc.
  • Assist with initial screening of claims and payments for completeness and follow up for deficiencies with concerned department.
  • Assist with maintenance of filling system while making sure vouchers and supporting document are in order.
  • Assist with photocopying, scanning of vouchers and supporting documents.
  • Perform other duties, as and when requested.

Demonstrated Skills and Competencies:

 

  • · Proven ability to organize priorities and work under administrative and programmatic pressures with detail orientation and professional grace.
  • · Eager to learn and ability to do multitasking
  • · Written and spoken fluency in Urdu & English required
  • · Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, is required

 

Qualification:

Graduates preferably in Administration/Commerce/Finance/ Accounting

The USAID-funded Pakistan Reading Project, implemented by the International Rescue Committee and its partners (Creative Associates International, World Learning, and Institute of Rural Management), is a seven-year project (2013-2020) with the objective to support the provincial and regional departments of education throughout Pakistan to improve reading skills of 1.3 million children in grades one and two. The project will achieve this goal through three distinct but interrelated components that will work in synergy to affect the quality of early grade education: Improved classroom learning environment for reading, Improved policies and systems for reading, and Improved community based support for reading in Pakistan.
