This is a position at a fast-paced start-up; you will be going hands on with the latest development technologies and should have a sound base and active interest in working with them. You must have a knack of learning things by yourself and move forward on your own when it comes to new technologies.
Essential Technical skills include:
- Minimum 2-4 years of experience (Mid-Level), 4+ years for (Senior Level) in JAVA/J2EE.
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience (Mid-level), 2+ years for senior level position in Liferay Portal development.
- Understanding the Requirements, Requirement Specification, Analysing the functional as well as technical requirements and designing the system for Liferay Applications.
- Development in Plugins & Ext environments.
- Experience in developing web applications using CSS 5, HTML 5, JavaScript, jquery and AJAX.
- Strong hands-on experience in various frameworks such as Struts MVC, Spring and Hibernate.
- Good Knowledge and experience working with Apache, Tomcat.
- Experience in working with different databases like mysql, Microsoft SQL Server.
- Experience in Object Oriented Programming.
- Experience with MVC based frameworks.
- Good understanding of OAuth, SOAP, REST and Third party APIs (Facebook, Google, Yahoo etc.).
- Considerable experience working with SQL.
- Knowledge of working in windows environment.
- Experience starting projects from scratch and jumping into an existing architecture.
Interpersonal skills:
- Strong communication skills & proficient in written & spoken English
