Accounts Receivable Manager

The Accounts Receivable Manager oversees and manages all aspects of the accounts receivable process within the organization. This role is responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate invoicing, collection, and recording of revenues owed by customers. The Accounts Receivable Manager also plays a critical role in analyzing and improving the accounts receivable processes to enhance efficiency and reduce outstanding balances.

Key Responsibilities:

Invoicing and Billing:

Generate and distribute accurate and timely invoices to customers.
Ensure that invoices comply with contractual terms and company policies.
Monitor billing schedules and follow up on any discrepancies or missing information.

Collections:

Develop and implement strategies to ensure timely collection of outstanding payments.
Communicate with customers to resolve payment issues and negotiate payment plans when necessary.
Monitor overdue accounts and initiate appropriate collection actions, including sending reminders and initiating legal proceedings if required.

Cash Application:

Oversee the accurate and timely application of cash receipts to customer accounts.
Reconcile payments received with outstanding invoices and resolve any discrepancies.

Credit Management:

Evaluate and establish credit limits for new and existing customers based on creditworthiness and risk assessment.
Review credit applications and perform credit checks on customers.
Monitor credit exposure and take appropriate actions to minimize bad debt risks.

Reporting and Analysis:

Prepare regular reports on accounts receivable aging, collections performance, and cash flow projections.
Analyze trends and metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement process enhancements.
Provide insights and recommendations to senior management to optimize cash flow and reduce delinquencies.

Process Improvement:

Identify inefficiencies in the accounts receivable process and implement solutions to streamline operations.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Finance, and Operations, to improve order-to-cash cycle times and customer satisfaction.
Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging technologies to enhance the effectiveness of accounts receivable processes.
