- Perform the duties necessary for role of pregnancy fitness educator and trainer.
- Conduct fitness consultations with clients, design exercise programs, review and instruct the client in regards to the exercise recommendations/program
- Providing safe exercise recommendations to women who have documented permission of their obstetricians to attend exercise sessions.
- Explain the exercise program that she has prepared for the client customized to her fatigability score.
- Demonstrate and teach the exercises to the client and provide feedback on technique.
- Be punctual and prepared for all appointments with clients or professional staff.
- Be comfortable using and demonstrating all the equipment and routines.
- Provide breathing exercises for birth in the sessions.
- In the post-natal period, help the mother regain her pre-pregnancy tone and shape with the help of safe exercises and working alongside nutrition plan.
- Provide functional strength training designed for pregnancy that is safe and effective.
- Provide comprehensive prenatal fitness assessment to determine readiness of the body.
- Collaborate with the nutritionist to provide supportive nutrition education for the healthy mom and baby during pregnancy.
- Design and provide customized or personalized fitness routines designed for the unique needs during pregnancy.
Skills
Knowledge of computer management and software applications.
Ability to work in a professional organization and have team spirit.
Proper handling of grievances and conflict.
