Job Overview: The SEO Senior expert is responsible for leading the Search Engine Optimization team and with applicable Project Manager to provide strategic SEO and digital services for the company. The SEO Senior Expert works with colleagues and partners to facilitate implementation, tracking and completion of SEO and digital strategies for various clients.

In addition, the SEO Senior Expert will determine and implement SEO analytics for the client’s web property using various SEO Platform technology. In addition, the SEO Senior Expert will work with Paid Media, Content, Web Development and Social Media departments to coordinate campaigns accordingly to industry best practices. Success metrics will be based on growth in overall qualified organic traffic for client sites and in some instances on ranking of specific keyword phrases. Client ROI will also be considered as a performance indicator. This position would be ideal for someone with Search Engine Optimization experience who would like an opportunity to work on major client accounts.

The ideal candidate should also have strong written and verbal communication skills. From time to time this individual will be asked to present SEO audits, strategies and reporting to the Project Manger and would be responsible for development of comprehensive SEO strategies and plans that meet overall business and marketing goals, with a focus on search engine optimization and marketing.

Key Responsibilities:

Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

  • Ability to strategize with the Project Manager to determine KPI’s and to tailor campaigns accordingly to complete goals.
  • Directly communicate with the internal digital teams to complete multi-channel campaign initiatives.
  • Work with multiple departments including Content, Social Media and Paid to develop and implement strategies.
  • Set deadlines, KPIs, tasks and strategies per statement of work.
  • Reporting and analysis of current and historical SEO campaigns.
  • Perform client specific keyword research and competitive analyses.
  • Perform technical SEO Audits of client websites.
  • Identify, recommend and implement on-page website SEO optimization.
  • Identify configuration and duplicate content issues and recommend remedies.
  • Perform Backlink analysis, opportunity identification, solicitation and optimization
  • Stay up-to-date of the latest SEO and digital marketing trends
Qualification & Summary of Experience:
  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications or other related subject preferred.
  • 5+ years SEO experience in e-commerce based industry or relevant sector.
  • Hands-on experience executing technical and local SEO best practices, reporting, and proactively adjusting tactics.
  • Hands-on experience preferred with Google Analytics, Google Webmaster Tools, MOZ, Open Site Explorer, Majestic SEO, Advanced Web Rankings, Buzzstream, SEMrush.
  • Fluency in SEO core elements including, but not limited to: On-page and Off-page tactics, Optimization of site navigation, internal linking structure, URL structure, Title, Meta Descriptions, Headers, dynamic and static page templates, XML sitemaps, Canonical Tags, etc.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with emerging standards of HTML.
  • Knowledge of CSS enhancements to better search engine visibility and technical optimization.
  • Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Ability to handle multiple ongoing tasks with changing priorities
  • Strong time management, project management, and problem solving skills
  • Ability to represent and promote Standing Dog in a professional manner and articulate value to partners.
