Responsible for the implementation of procurement strategy and policies and ensuring adherence.
Identification and induction of new suppliers.
Conduct market surveys to investigate market trends.
Responsible for communication and negotiating of prices/rates with suppliers.
Manage the entire process of procurement i.e. review and evaluate the requisitions received from different departments, call for quotations, preparation of comparative statements and briefs for the management, issuance of work/purchase orders and processing payments to suppliers/vendors in accordance with institute’s procurement policy and negotiated terms and conditions.
To negotiate, implement and manage various contracts for the institute.
Responsible for planning, developing and buying materials, parts, supplies and equipment’s in a timely and cost effective way.
Manage the tendering process and review the tender related documents.
Manage all files and record related to procurement.
Maintain record of all purchases and inventories.
Stock and inventory management.
Any other duty assigned by the management.
Skills
(1) Qualification:
MBA Finance/Supply Chain Management from an HEC recognized university
(2) Skills:
i. High level of integrity and honesty
ii. Strict adherence to organizational policies and rules
iii. Excellent communication (verbal & written) skills
iv. Strong negotiation skills
v. Strong analytical skills
vi. Ability to plan and organize the work and meet the deadlines
vii. Be able to work independently
viii. Well versed with MS-Office and procurement softwares
(3) Experience:
Minimum 3-5years experience in the field of procurement/supply chain management with 2years experience as Procurement Officer in a reputed public/private organization.
