Software Quality Assurance Engineer:

Currently Target systems is looking for dynamic and experienced professional for its Quality assurance department at senior level as Software Quality Assurance Engineer.

1. Main Purpose of Position:

• Assist in the performance of software testing procedures on the Application Software and ensure errors are reasonably identified and re-mediated during a release cycle with manual and automated testing approach.

2. Position in Organization:

• Reports to Quality Assurance Manager, on day to day basis on assigned/UN assigned testing, Quality assurance and other tasks accordingly.
• In case of dedicated assignment on specific project, resource shall be advised to report that project lead/Project Manager on day to day basis as well besides reporting Quality Assurance Manager.
• Direct contact with internal clients at a user and project management level.

3. Knowledge , Experience &Skills:

• Minimum Bachelors degree in Computer Sciences with at least 1 years direct experience in designing and implementing quality control standards for software testing using HP Quality Center or Microsoft TFS.
• Knowledge of Software Testing life cycle.
• Knowledge of Software Bug life cycle.
• Knowledge of software test management.
• Knowledge of system testing metrics, best practices and methodologies.
• Experience working within Agile SCRUM software development teams. Proven ability to participate in requirements and design reviews, write and execute test cases in a fast paced software development environment.
• Hands on Exposure with .NET, Selenium web & IDE/QTP/Test Complete, jMeter, UI/web Automation tools.
• Ability to create SQL scripts.
• Ability to work independently or as part of Agile/SCRUM teams, a self-starter.
• Exposure to data verification and problem-solving abilities.
• Exposure to statistical reporting and analysis.
• Exposure to Project Management work structures
• Communication skills experience of communicating with clients and various levels of management.
• Demonstrable accuracy and attention to detail.
• Must have good written and verbal communication skills

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Understand the application and its environment Review non-functional requirements Analyze performance requirements.
• Prepare domain document of assigned testing task accordingly.
• Prepare Scenario matrix of testing task accordingly.
• Preparation of Test cases for that testing task, during, before or after testing closure of that assigned testing task.
• Track and maintain testing defects in bug tracking tools.
• Analyze test results and report functional, performance, load, and other issues to development team or product management.
• Create, Update maintain Scripts for Automated Testing using Selenium or any other tool.
• Ensure that the management team are kept informed of progress & any significant issues.
• Assist in the production of well written documents pertaining to testing.
• Proactively contribute to & utilize the teams / divisions technical knowledge base.
• Liaise with analysts, developers and business domain experts to better understand requirements and produce effective test scripts
• Assist in ensuring developers are kept up to date with latest problems requiring resolution and take ownership of issue until resolved.
• Able to give demonstration/Presentation/Application demo to onshore office team/ Trainers/ Business analysts for better understanding of application quality.

• Assist in the estimation of effort and software testing resources required for tasks.
• Ensure tasks prioritized delivered on time.
• Technical/Commercial Knowledge.
• Demonstrate a high level of technical competence within the scope of the role, self-sufficiency & willingness to acquire new and additional skills.
• Maintain an awareness of company policies.
• Recommend application enhancements to be included in application product plans
• Maintain a good level of understanding in all application software, their operation & architecture
• Maintain a detailed knowledge of companys testing procedures, processes and tools.
• Maintain a good knowledge of the companys application development life cycle.
